Project Description

To address a growing and diversifying population of OHV enthusiasts, foster good stewards by raising awareness of rules and regulations on how to recreate responsibly, and help generate fees that support the Forest Service’s ability to manage ODNRA sustainably, this project will improve signage throughout this unique recreation space in locations connected to OHVing.

Why it Matters

This proactive initiative will address several critical issues:
1. Noise Pollution: The new signage will prominently display noise restriction information, helping to mitigate noise complaints and enhance visitor satisfaction.
2. Bilingual Communication: By incorporating both English and Spanish, the signage will be more inclusive, ensuring all visitors can easily understand and adhere to the regulations.
3. Fee Collection Enhancement: With the Forest Service\\\’s transition to a cash-based fee system, the new signage will feature QR codes to streamline fee collection and improve administrative efficiency.
