Project Description

The RECreate Koshio Park project is a community-driven initiative led by Fort Lupton’s Parks & Recreation Department to renovate the 2.1-acre Sam Koshio Memorial Park. Extensive bilingual community engagement informed the design, ensuring the park is inclusive, accessible, and family-friendly recreational space. Planned amenities include an ADA accessible playground, pavilion, walking trail, enhanced safety measures, and upgraded facilities. Project completion is targeted for late 2026/early 2027.

The renovation will transform the 2.1-acre Sam Koshio Memorial Park into a welcoming, accessible, and safe gathering place. New features include an ADA-compliant playground with zipline and shade swings, a large pavilion for family reunions and events, a ÂĽ-mile walking trail, heated year-round restrooms, security cameras, bil
