Project Description

Spanning more than 1,000 acres and located in Miami, Oleta River State Park is Florida\’s largest urban park. The park is the ideal spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy nature through activities such as kayaking, biking, hiking, swimming, and camping. The project aimed to improve the park\’s amenities by installing new picnic tables, grills, and an informational kiosk

Why it Matters

Public lands and waters have experienced a significant increase in usage since the pandemic. However, funding has not kept pace with the demand, leading to notable infrastructure issues. It is crucial for us to collaborate and address this growing list of needs to ensure that visitors can truly enjoy our public lands. By investing in the enhancement of Oleta River State Park\\\’s amenities, this project not only improves the park\\\’s appeal as a recreational destination but also nurtures a deeper connection between individuals and our public lands.
